Hackett

Josh @ Swing State Ohio caught Paul Hackett speaking before the Butler County Democratic Party.

Part II of Drinking Liberally’s interview with Paul Hackett is up.

Paul Hackett, candidate for nothing, will be speaking tonight at the opening of the new Dem. Party Headquarters in Hamilton Ohio. He will be speaking at 7:00 pm at the new location of 633 High St., Ste. 105, Hamilton, OH 45011.

Any Questions about the event should be directed to the party.

From the Warren County Democratic Party:

Paul Hackett to kick off the Democratic Party’s National “Neighbor-to-Neighbor Organizing Day” on Saturday, April 29, 2006 in Warren County.

Paul Hackett, former Congressional candidate and Iraqi War veteran, will join with Warren County Democrats to take part in this historic event to connect with our neighbors throughout the county. Volunteers across the nation will go door-to-door to talk with their neighbors about the Democratic Party’s bold vision for America based on honest leadership and real security.

Paul Hackett will kick off this coordinated event at 8:30am at the Warren County Democratic Party Headquarters 113B E. Mulberry St. in Lebanon.

If you have not canvassed with us in the past, you might not know that we make it fun! The original “Hackett’s Heroes” will deploy across the county. Join other enthusiastic Democrats by registering for this event at http://www.democrats.org/page/event/detail/april29canvass/4v7vm or contact the Warren County Democratic Party at 513.228.2400.

Make sure you wear good shoes. Paul moves fast.

Plunderbund has the audio of Paul Hackett interviewing Russ Feingold while he was sitting in for Jerry Springer on Air America. Considering how Paul has no experience, he’s been doing an amazing job. Lining up Howard Dean and Senator Feingold was a real coup. These are pretty desperate times for terrestrial radio trapped between the pressures of the FCC (no raunch) and satellite radio (anything goes). I could see how a show like the kind that Hackett might do would be exactly what they were looking for.

His topic is immigration. Nice.

ADDED: Check out the show blog.

Paul Hackett is featured in two stories @ Cincinnati’s CityBeat weekly: Hackett’s Happy and Hackett’s Battle.

Ann Driscoll was kind enough to provide to me a recent post about the Ohio 2nd Blog that she did on Jerome Armstrong’s MyDD which they censored for some strange reason:

Paul was on The Ed Schultz Show again on Thursday promoting the IAVA PAC. (audio clip) The post has sparked another typical firestorm over @ D.U., right after the one over his appearance on The Daily Show.

Also, The Enquirer “blog” has Hackett dropping the “F Bomb” on Sherrod Brown. I bet his favorite thing about not running for office any more is that he can curse freely.

As an aside, Ohio 2006 Blog reports that Congressman Brown is still having a hard time answering the question. I think that his campaign underestimates how toxic this primary has been and its longterm impact on that landscape.

BTW, Paul is totally off on the best line from The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly. The best line is: “You see, in this world there’s two kinds of people, my friend… those with loaded guns, and those who dig. You dig.”
