The Operation Truth blog has a post up on Hackett’s race. (via DKos)

I was disappointed that they were silent on this race. Hackett’s position on Iraq places him on a different path than groups such as MoveOn and OpTruth. Unfortunately, all of the talk was about such things as Hackett calling Bush a son of a bitch. Combine the rights desire to paint him in the worst light possible with the press’s need to focus on the dog bites man aspects of any story and it was almost impossible to get any meaningful message out.

The word is that Rush Limbaugh has been devoting the day to Paul Hackett. He’s even frontdoored Hackett’s TV ad. Hey… just as long as they get the URL right LOL

Questionable wingnut muckraker The WhistleBlower‘s daily email has the story now dropped by ProjectLogic:

All those Kneepad Liberals in the Press were doing their best to rally DemoCRATS with their Hackett-hype till the very end. Whistleblower Research Bureau Chief Fearless Ferrett says the biggest lie you heard during the entire campaign was that if elected, Hackett would be the only Iraqi War veteran in Congress. But what about Republican Congressman Mark Kirk from Illinois? He’s only serving in his third term. We can understand how the morning fishwrap could miss a little fact like that, but so did the RNC, NRCC, White House, and even “Mean Jean’s” campaign manager, Joe “Mr. I Didn’t Know It All” Braun. Shame on all of you. ComPost Washington Bureau Chief Michael Collins caught on that there were several other Iraqi war vets running this fall, but didn’t mention the Republican who was already in Congress either.
