DNC’s Voting Rights Institute Calls For “Manual Count” in CA-50 Special

From the DNC Blog via BradBlog, who’s been doing absolutely amazing work on this front.
This all centers on Diebold equipment which will be a major issue in the 2006 general here in Ohio. It is VERY important that Democrats get ultra aggressive on election integrity since an essential component of the Republican’s strategic retreat is making it as hard as possible for people to vote and audit elections.
Nice to see the Democrats waking up on this front. For years it was like pulling teeth.
Now if we could just get Voter Action to adopt Ohio.

Just want to mention that we have an EXCELLENT candidate running for Secretary of State, Jennifer Brunner http://www.jenniferbrunner.com/
We all need to back her and if anything funky goes on in November 2006, I do not think she will not let it rest. Brunner knows election law and she also knows how to dig deep for information. She is PERFECT for the job. No matter what your party affiliation or how you lean, you will feel & BE secure with Jennifer Brunner in that seat. I truly believe in Brunner! Check her out and I think you will agree.
Oops, it is late!
I do not think she will not let it rest. Strike the “not”!
Correction:
I do not think she will let it rest.
Blackwell wanted diebold and got diebold and owned stock in diebold at the time. Big conflict of interest. There are too many problems with these machines to be considered reliable. We need to be very agressive and vigilant. The goes back to Brent Gray’s platform about voting rights. We are going to need a big get out the absentee vote.
