The Fix > 2008: Time Ripe for Third Party Ticket?
The answer to the question is yes, but as I always like to say, it’s never too late to do the right thing. Maybe this will light a fire under people’s asses. This has got to give a lot of beltway types a little shudder. Looks like the indi forces are getting smarter, and the Internet is a great equalizer added to the mix.
Lucky for me I don’t worry about Presidential Races. The House is where the action’s at. (Why 3rd Parties all but ignore them is beyond me.)
It will be interesting to see how this changes the dynamics with the partisan portals. Kos and RedState/Free Republic are all about us vs. them. What happens if you add a plague on both your houses force into the mix? Should be interesting.

Since the primary I have been approched by at least two different parties to run for the House. I didn’t think the country was ready to elect a third party yet. Seems I may have been wrong. You are right, the house is where the action is.
I agree with you on wondering about the House, I also agree with it’s time for a larger third party presence. I wasn’t aware of Unity 08, so thank you.
I wonder what would happen if an extremely conservative 3rd party candidate ran for the House in the Ohio 2nd… That would make for an interesting race in the fall. Sorry Jean don’t mean to stir the pot.
But until I see you try to to save Medicare, end the war and fight for a middle class tax cut for working families, that’s exactly what I am going to do…
