From the Fix, “As a result, the Republican victor today will have little trouble holding the seat in the fall.”
Just wait until they see what I have in store for Jean or Bob. They won’t know what hit them.

Oh yeah. Whoever makes it through to the general is going to be trying to prove the impossible wrong.
Whatever the outcome in November though - there needs to be another strong Democratic campaign run in the 2nd district.
It’s the only way to start winning back these “red” areas to take our country back. Then, even if the Democrat gets pounded, at least folks here are more open to voting for a D, and winning the 2nd might seem more possible in 08 - you know, when there’s a presidential election?
Maybe then the Enquirer might even mention the Democrats in the race - hell, CQ did.
(even though it’s equally as depressing an article as the Fix)

Weird Hackett show. He’s going off on Saving Private Ryan and some show that documents an ER in Bagdad, calling it “combat pornography”. I’m not really sure what his point is. Did Saving Private Ryan glorify military combat? Listening to the people who were actually there on D Day, it didn’t seem like it. Should we not try to dramatize it? Just show the good news, like the President talks about?

I just got back from voting, I cast my ballot somewhere around 4 pm. I was the 38th person to vote in a precinct of just over one thousand registered voters. If they end up with 60 ballots cast in my precinct I would be very suprised. I’m guessing turnout in my precinct will be 6-9% as there are no issues to be decided.
