Back in the special it was the C.O.A.S.T. crew working with Democrats to try to defeat Jean Schmidt. Now the shoe’s on the other foot. As much as Jean Schmidt shows public distain for Democrats and lawyers, when push comes to shove she turns to Democratic “super-lawyer” Stan Chesley to attack Bob McEwen over his residency.
(ADDED: More on this over @ the Bizzster’s.)
Howard also has a report on last night’s hate fest debate. (Openers also has a little coverage.) Let’s see… they agree on just everything… even on the fact that the other one sucks. I guess the vote comes down to McEwen if you like pork, or Schmidt if you like insulting Democratic Congressmen who actually want to talk about solutions in Iraq.
Also, Jeff Hardin wrote a guest column in the Community Press defending Bob McEwen over the House banking scandal. As a serial overdrafter I feel for the Congressman on this one. (Hey… I can call him anything I want.)

This is truly a comedy of errors. As much as I often lament the dearth of decent Democratic candidates in small congressional districts, I truly feel sorry for Republican voters on this one. Between Schmidt and McKewen, it’s like a contest to see who can be the sleaziest and most corrupt… This all speaks to the necessity that we have a strong, electable candidate in November. The district cannot bear to be represented by either of these two clowns.

Republicans are so arrogant. And Schmidt is so dumb. Is residency really an issue? WTF? I guess that is the ethical challege McEwen has that Mean Jean doesn’t.

If I were a Republican, I would definitely vote for Deborah Kraus.

Quite right. Corrected as well as I can.
