Paul was on The Ed Schultz Show again on Thursday promoting the IAVA PAC. (audio clip) The post has sparked another typical firestorm over @ D.U., right after the one over his appearance on The Daily Show.
Also, The Enquirer “blog” has Hackett dropping the “F Bomb” on Sherrod Brown. I bet his favorite thing about not running for office any more is that he can curse freely.
As an aside, Ohio 2006 Blog reports that Congressman Brown is still having a hard time answering the question. I think that his campaign underestimates how toxic this primary has been and its longterm impact on that landscape.
BTW, Paul is totally off on the best line from The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly. The best line is: “You see, in this world there’s two kinds of people, my friend… those with loaded guns, and those who dig. You dig.”

Brownie – Hackett had enough money to make payroll – stop saying that.
He just didn’t have an extra $2M with 15 Congressman calling up his donors to scare them off.
Editor,
There was a really good article in the Cincinnatti Post today (Saturday) about Hackett that he is still getting all the attention. It has some great Hackett quotes. It basically said that where ever Hackett goes, he is surrounded by reporters and groupies.
You should put it on the web blog.
Also, Hackett is going to be in a major Newspaper’s Sunday Magazine on the cover soon.
Editor,
Just read what Brown said about his flip flopping into the Senate race and why Hackett left the race. He is still spewing bullshit.
Fuck Sherrod, I think it is appropriate.
I’m probably not the first nor will I be the last but? I will wear it proudly…

Wow LisaRenne!!
I need to get me one. Now all we need is a bumper sticker.
Those with a rope around the neck, and the people who have the job of doing the cutting.
Drdemocrat, thanks for the tip about the Cincy Post article…
Hackett is still drawing a crowd
…Here’s his take on the administration and the war in Iraq: “We’ve got an administration that talks in these absolutely asinine, non-military, non-goal-oriented terms, ‘We’re going to eliminate the evildoers.’ Look, buddy, they aren’t walking around Fallujah with signs around their neck that says, ‘Evildoer. Shoot me.’ It’s not that simple.”

Renee in Ohio,
For someone who is no longer in politics, on a daily basis, I have either read something Hackett said, seen Hackett on TV, or heard Hackett on the radio.
The past few days he has been quoted in Knight Ridder, Cincy Post, Cincy Enquirer, Toronto Star, etc. He was scheduled to be on C-span and a Sunday talk show but he cancelled because his son got sick.
The man is every where. And that is a VERY good thing.
I am going to have to get me one of those Tshirts and tape over the bottom.
Brown will never get that kind of publicity because he will never have the balls to say or truly stand for anything.
Mrs. Editor, if you really want one like that let me know, it’d be easy just to remove the second line and upload it as a new image.
Dr. D…you have your bumper sticker.
There’s not much mark up on any of the Sherrod stuff because I didn’t really think there would be that much interest. I did it more as a Okay I want one for me type humor thing. Take the bumper sticker as one example, I marked it up a penny. However, what I’ve done with the other items in the year I’ve had the store, when I hit the $25.00 mark and Cafe Press sends a check is I donate to Save Darfur. Except for my book, that’s the only thing I have on the site that I keep the profits on. I don’t advertise or make a big deal about doing that, it’s just something I do because it’s a way to help make a small difference. If this gets to the stage where the F Sherrod stuff accumulates to that stage on it’s own I’ll donate to IAVA.
Despite the fact I’m supposedly working with Rove.
If I were in OHIO I would do everything I could to get Hackett on the ballot in every precinct in the state, then I would encourage him to actively seek the votes.
He was leading in the polls when he was forced out (at least from what I saw).
Can OHIOans get him on the ballot for the primary regardless of what the Party bosses want? I think so. If you did, he might win it.
Here in Virginia the party bosses were quietly supporting Miller, then the Blogophere/grassroots rebelled and called on James Webb to run. Webb is charging ahead now, while Miller is being left behind even in his own backyard. The moral: If enough people get out and work for it, you can get the candidate you want and the power/$$ brokers be damned.
(If you don’t try to rally Hackett, you certainly will not help much by tearing down Brown. Saying “F~@k Sherrod helps no one except DeWine.)
