Well, Chris Redfern said that Sherrod Brown’s name is “gold” in Ohio. I guess it’s a different color to right-wing gasbags outside of Ohio.
But, true confessions time–when I first heard the name Sherrod Brown less than a year ago I thought he might be African American, based on the combination of unusual (to me) first name and Anglo last name. Of course, I would never have declared that on national radio without finding out first. But then, that’s just me.

Was there more context to this? What was it that Limbaugh thought there was a “racial component” to? Was he suggesting that Democrats prefer black candidates or kowtow to black voters? Why in particular did he think it important that the New York Times mention Brown’s race, whatever it was? I find Limbaugh’s thought processes devious so if anyone can help out, I’d be grateful!

LOL. Did any caller correct him? He’s such an overt racist. It’s so surprizing nowadays because racism has become so covert. The Hackett stor is sorry enough without embelishing it with some dumb racial component. Oh, wait, that’s a republican tactic.
Sherrod is so old school WASP. Although I have developed a bad habit of pronouncing his name CHER rod. I’m not from Ohio and I read his name before I heard it pronounced. I’ve never heard that name before. Does anyone know where his parents got it?

There was NOT much to laugh at this week except for “fat drug addict’s” stupid irrelevant comments.
As an African-American female, who gives a crap if Sherrod is Black, Green, Purple, Brown, or Polka Dots…He still stinks.
