U.S. Rep. Sherrod Brown (D., Lorain) called the Bush-backed Medicare prescription-drug plan “the most confusing, corrupt, and costly health-care law in the nation’s history” in a visit to a Pharmacy Counter store on Central Avenue.
This is a home run for Sherrod Brown. Excellent coverage on a hotbutton issue with Hackett coming off as a oh, and by the way… Brown’s aggressive tone works well in print. Buckeye Senate offers more.

I agree. Excellent move by Brown. This is Brown’s best move so far in the campaign. Other than that he hasn’t been getting much coverage.
However, the problem with this is it came out in print in the Toledo Blade on Saturday, traditionally the lowest readership of the week. The next day, Sunday which is traditionally the highest readership of the week, there was a big article about Hackett and his views.
For what ever reason, Hackett always seems to stump Brown in the knack for publicity.
Drdemocrat-the sunday piece isn’t exactly a glowing article about Hackett. I mean, the article is basically asking “Does this guy know what he’s talking about?”
It’s a snarky headline, but the information within is just fine.
Editor:
I agree with you. The headline is snarky but pulls you in to read it. The article was actually pretty good for it showed that Hackett knew his stuff.
