Axinar has posted a report (cross-posted at The Cincinnati Beacon) of yesterday’s “Coffee and Conversation” with Congresswoman Jean Schmidt in Loveland. She is proving to be the master of dramatic entrances:

…I’m having a nice conversation with Congresswoman Schmidt’s twin sister, Jennifer Black, about her real estate business when, suddenly, the lights went out! It turned out the power failure affected just about everything east of the Little Miami River.

Oh, yes, it was quite spooky as Congresswoman Schmidt entered the chamber illuminating herself solely with a small, handheld flashlight and looking not terribly dissimilar from the late John Colicos’ portrayal of Count Baltar from the original Battlestar Galactica series.

These are starting to sound like must see events.

She’s been banging the gong pretty hard for Medicare Part D, including it in speeches and flyers she’s mailed around the district. Candidates might find some enlightenment talking to seniors about the program.

I wonder if Congressman Brown shares war stories with Jeanie Schmidt about us big bad bloggers. (You can tell that I’ve been listening to too much Bill Cunningham when I start calling her Jeanie Schmidt.)
