UPDATE: Audio has been posted.
Paul Hackett will be appearing 8 a.m. tomorrow morning on Cincinnati Advance Radio, WAIF-FM, 88.3.
Also, every campaign is rushing to get in any last minute end of quarter fundraising done. So too for the Hackett campaign. I really think that he’s got a good chance at this if he can just keep things afloat during the primary. Sherrod Brown’s awash with cash, but given his actions over the last four months I think that he’s done nothing but waste it. Paul sent out this fundraiser yesterday. I hope he’s able to hang in there.
Dear Friend,
Donate TodayAs we countdown the days until the New Year, we are also counting down the final days of the fundraising quarter of 2005.

As my campaign manager wrote you yesterday, we are off to a great start. The momentum is building. The polls show our campaign already running in a statistical dead heat or ahead of my Republican opponent… a bad place to be for any incumbent. And I recently received the endorsement of the United Auto Workers with its more than 175,000 members.
But ultimately, I cannot continue to run an effective campaign without your financial support. In the midst of the hustle and bustle of the holidays, I ask that you take a moment out of your day and make a contribution to my campaign.

If we can raise an addition $15,000 between now and the end of the year, we will be able to show a healthy financial report going into the 2006 election year, providing us with the resources needed to build towards Election Day.
Your contribution will help us as we grow our movement across the state and spread our message of hope and change. In the next few months, our goal is to have a presence in all of Ohio’s 88 counties. With the help of supporters and volunteers like you, we can make that goal a reality.

As I travel across the state, I can already feel the enthusiasm and energy building. Ohioans are yearning for change and ready for new leadership in Washington.
Please visit my website or click on the link below to make a contribution of $25, $50, $100, $250, or whatever you can afford today.

Together. Real Change. Right Now.
In Solidarity,
Paul Hackett
P.S. I’m not running for the U.S. Senate to become another water boy for the special interests in Washington. I’m running to represent you, your family, and the real issues that matter to everyday Americans. I hope I can count on you to help us reach our goal by midnight Saturday.

Editor is right on-target with this one.
If you feel strongly about making a change and doing it with the only Dem with a chance of defeating Mike DeWine then please…make a contribution to the Hackett campaign right now!
Sherrod Brown and his arrogant campaign staff and a few hardcore, old school Democrats are willing to sell the future of the Party down-the-river. In their hearts, they believe that Brown will win a general election next November…In our minds, we know that is very unlikely. Brown does not have the broad appeal we see in Hackett.
Don’t wait to make a contribution to Paul’s campaign and lean on your friends and family to do the same.
It is truly our chance to make a difference in this race….
Is the Hackett campaign in financial trouble? I’m kind of reading that from this post, and I’m not really sure that’s true.
At any rate, I’m giving. And it’s worrisome that Ohioans have a real chance at change, at electing a straight-talker, at making Ohio the national player it should be. Are we about to blow it, again?
I don’t believe Hackett is in “financial trouble”. I do believe however that he is trailing his primary opponent and his general election opponent. Based on his history, Hackett can do more with less…But this is going to be a very expensive venture since he is going up against two professional Pols with extremly healthy war chests.
They both have been taking money from special interests for years while Hackett has not.
I agree with you VJ. We have an opportunity here.
It’s going to take money to win this one and it has to come from the grass roots.
It is put up or shut up time if we want change. The only way we’ll blow it is if we sit on our hands and our check books.
I’m not trying to be an alarmist…but we have to dig a little.
I am tired of the establishment…Send Hackett to the Senate…dig a little deeper.
Where are Hollywood liberals when you need them? Seriously. Arianna and the Huff Po Hollywood liberals need to see beyond David Sirota’s Sherrod Brown support and meet the better man in town.
Shit man I was one of the first people to donate to HAckett’s Senatorial Act Blue account, I’d contribute again but I just got laid off from my job.
Why isn’t Paul’s radio appearance mentioned on his website? It seems I have to come to this blog to get current news on his campaign. What gives?
I have to admit I am alittle worried myself.
Enquiring minds wanna know.
