Just a few weeks ago I was predicting that McEwen would not challenge Schmidt in the 2nd. Given the current climate in the district we’ve bounced our rating on the McEwen stock up to a buy.

Now the Congresswoman is said to have a warchest of around $100,000. Birdies tell me that McEwen’s been having a hard time raising funds of late. Perhaps Schmidt getting upbraided by the President half way around the world will help open the wallets of Southern Ohio’s rich and not so famous.

The wildcard in the equation is the Democrats. Will they be able to resist with so much blood in the water? Stay tuned sport fans.
