Paul Hackett is the topic of the top 1 2 and 3 recommended diaries over @ Daily Kos.
FYI: DKos gets mad traffic so this is huge. Shout out to Tim over at Swing State project for making that happen.

This is a very strange report. We’re going to look into this more, especially with the FOP. If anyone can give insight it would be appreciated.

Letter to Howard Wilkinson:

Hey Howard,

I’ve sent you emails before thanking you when you presented campaign news items in a manner that was fair to both candidates.

I’ve got to complain this time. In the FOP article you did everything you could to slam Hackett and promote Schmidt.

Funny how your hit piece comes out in the waning days, right before the election. You read like a campaign worker from Schmidt headquarters.

I’m very disappointed in you, Howard.

I posted the following instructions over at SSP:
No ActiveX required, just use this direct link (it’s an MMS streaming URL; you may have to copy&paste it into the location field of your media player) or this one if you’d like the full news segment plus ads (it’s an ASX playlist file).

This information can be aquired using Firefox by choosing “Page Info” on the WKRC page, then choosing the “Media” tab and scrolling down to the first item of “Embed” type. Copy this URL, it’s the playlist. Handling of different browsers and video news sites is analogous.

Anyway, Mac users should be using MPlayer for OSX as a media player. Check it out.

It’s ported from the Linux platform and plays EVERYTHING (audio, video, you name it).

There are also Windows builds (scroll down to “Windows” heading).

There are also browser plugins available at the last URL (scroll down to “plugins”).

Linux users now what to do in any case.
