The first reports are rolling in from tonight’s debate. It was a good debate. Both sides brought their best game. Afterwards all the talk was about Eric Minamyer. LOL. I’m afraid that he stole the show. I’ve decided that since he’s dropping it, I’ll drop it.

The debate was way out in the eastern portions of the district. Beautiful countryside. Cities whose names I recognize from my Church hymnal collection (my hobby). We’ll have to spend more time down there exploring.

Schmidt’s key points were tort reform, ethanol and supporting Bush on Iraq. I think that all three of those planks are weak. I want to check up on Schmidt’s claim that Ohio’s farmers all support the energy bill. I can understand why agrabusiness likes it, but it would be good to talk to some local farmers and hear their perspective.

Hackett was in top form. Joking. Relaxed. My Computer is freaking out so I’ll upload audio when I can. Looking into other sources that might be available.
