The Dayton Daily News has the candidate Federal Elections Commission fund-raising reports for the period up to May 25th.
On the Democratic side Hackett is the 3-1 leader in fundraising, having made $27,575 and spent $8,065. Victoria Wulsin is proving to be a very thrifty candidate with $10,221 in the bank after spending $134. Sanders is in the hole having raised $1,210 and spent $1,461.
On the Republican side DeWine is the big money candidate having raised close to half a mill; spending three fifths of it. At this point McEwen and Schmidt are running mainly on their own dime each in the red to at least $100,000. Tom Brinkman has $58,966 dollars left in the bank after spending $9,304… impressive for a dark horse candidate in a crowded field.
How long before the local GOP energy starts shifting towards Brinkman? With all the fur flying the players can’t just sit back and watch things implode, especially with a possible Marine in the wings. The lack of candidates crowing about polling data can’t be a good sign.
