Sanders Campaign Rejects Cincinnati Black Blog’s Charges
Posted by Editor under Democrat , General , Hackett1 Comment
One of the ugliest smears to have come out of the blogosphere for the 2nd Special has been those made by Cincinnati Black Blog’s editor Nate Livingston. Mr. Livingston’s specialty is pulling issues straight out of his own ass, and his latest is a show stopper.
Livingston theorizes that members of the Marine reserves do not have any 1st Amendment rights once they return from their service. He also maintains that they are not allowed to run for office. Where does he get this “understanding”? Does he site any sources for this? Does he quote any authorities? No… he pulls it straight out of his own ass.
Livingston’s biggest load is the charge of racism by the Hamilton County Democratic Party against Charles Sanders.
Ive got issues with the Hamilton County Democratic Party’s treatment of Charles Sanders — a Black man — and other qualified Black Democrats who step up to run for office and have the Party bosses manipulate the process.
I’ll definitely have more on this later in a separate blog entry….’
Now that’s ironic given that it wasn’t that long ago, seven months to be exact, that Mr. Livingston was endorsing Rob Porter over Sanders:
I don’t live in the 2nd District but if I did I would vote for Rob Portman who is squaring off against Charles Sanders (an African American) for the 4th time. Each election, Portman crushes Sanders. In fact, I read that Portman is so secure, he is currently on a statewide Bush tour outside his District. Democrats in the 2nd District deserve a better candidate than Charlie Sanders.
What’s really sad is that you would think that before he started leveling that most divisive of charges Mr. Livingston would bother to ask the person that he is supposedly championing, namely Charles Sanders. But he doesn’t do that. And the reason he doesn’t do that is because if he did he would find out that the Sanders campaign wants nothing to do with Nate Livingston’s opportunistic charges. Lucky for you, gentle reader, I did ask the Sanders campaign and here’s what they said:
Dear Mr. Baker,
The Sanders Congressional Campaign would like for the record to disassociate itself from the comments of Nate Livingston listed below. You are free to contact Charles W. Sanders at 513-228-0400 which is his campaign headquarters for further comment.
