Interesting quote from today’s pro GOP BizzyBlog:
Don’t even try to tell me August 2 is a lock if Paul Hackett is the other candidate on the ballot.

What’s with your clock? I didn’t post until about 8:59 am and your post time precedes it (pretty good trick). I didn’t get your trackback until a few minutes ago (about noon).
I changed my characterization of your comments on Hackett, because I can’t prove he’s for/against the war. All I can say is what you said, which is that he didn’t bash Bush, and based on your narrative, you’re “surprised” and “pained” that this is the case.
Depending on how your “wayback machine” is working, you may not have seen the original wording.

Hmm… It might be set for hawaii or something… still trying to wrap my head around this wordpress thing.
I would definitely characterize Hackett as being in the it’s our mess, now we have to clean it up crowd.

I’m not from Ohio, so unfortunately, I can’t vote for Paul Hackett, but I can support him and will. Finally, a candidate who has a good grasp of what many Americans are feeling on issues that matter to everyone – Iraq, Social Security, Health Care, and Small Business. You can check it out on his web site-hackettforcongress.com. I have also looked into how he feels about women’s rights – I’m a woman this is VERY important to me. Paul Hackett is willing to protect the rights of women. I’m so frustrated by the republicans and their anti-woman agenda (I am down right MAD that they have tried to re-define our roles in the military – before long they will try to re-define our right to vote) that I’m willing to support candidates who I can’t vote for – simply because all politics are not local. We need candidates who will take our issues and values to Washington – and from what I have learned – Paul Hackett is that candidate. I’m from the Show-Me-State, and Paul Hackett has shown me that he deserves the support of all women.
