Here’s the second of our reports for our field pundit Pam. Once again these are the opinions of Pam and not of Ohio 2nd Blog who was too busy grilling to attend the Forum.

Our field reporter Pam has wired to us two reports on the 22nd Democratic and 23rd Republican forums. The opinions are those of our intrepid reporter and not those of Ohio 2nd Blog or any of it’s affiliates. Rest assured that there are no claims of being “Fair and Balanced here at Ohio 2nd ;-) Your humble editor will post his opinions in the comments section later on.

Here’s her first report on her Democrats:

One of the ugliest smears to have come out of the blogosphere for the 2nd Special has been those made by Cincinnati Black Blog’s editor Nate Livingston. Mr. Livingston’s specialty is pulling issues straight out of his own ass, and his latest is a show stopper.

Ann Driscoll over @ MyDD has up a report on the 2nd Debate. Anybody else catch it? Man I would love some audio.

It’s time for some plain talk amongst friends here. I have no time for Republican B.S. I have even less time for liberal stupidity.

Every candidate but one at some point very soon needs to get together and endorse the one that has the best chance of winning. Now the Party elders as well as the Republican blogosphere have spoken about which one they think it is. Are they wrong? Wulsin needs to step up her game considerably if that’s to be proven the case. That means speeches… press releases… photo ops… campaign appearances… endorsements… an up to the minute web site full of details about what she is doing and where she is doing it. This all needs to be happening two weeks ago. That means that anyone that is a fan of hers needs to plan on getting NO SLEEP until after August 2nd. You want to play in the big leagues… show us some game guys.

Sanders is running the same tired campaign that he’s already lost four times. Step up your game and do it now.

Wulsin is learning how to be a politician on the Democratic Party’s dime. Step up your game and do it now.

To be honest with you neither is ready to be the standard bearer for the Democrats take over of Congress in 2006. PROVE ME WRONG.

This big game of chicken has a very good chance of leading every candidate over the cliff and frankly I’m of no mood for any politician that’s got such a swelled head that they can’t step down for the good of us all. This is not the time for personal achievment. This is about team.

UPDATE: The emails are already coming in from friends giving me a hard time. Keep those cards and letter coming, folks. Remember what they say: as long as they get your URL right.

Hello Hello… What’s All This Then?!! Wulsin For Congress has a blog.

How about a little fishing?

As the malignant cancer that is Coingate continues to eat the Ohio Republican Party alive your humble editor was wondering if any of the candidates running in the 2nd special were involved beyond being a member of a political Party that seems to be completely devoid of ethics?

If any of my readers know anything, please don’t hesitate to drop us a line.

My my my… What has the GOP come to? Remember back when the Grand Ol Party was truly grand. Barry Goldwater… Ronald Reagan… William F Buckley… Men of vision… idealistic…. moralistic… completely off the mark, but at least they had integrity. What have things come to? When did they loose their way? I guess if you keep selling people the same snake oil and it doesn’t cure them, there’s no choice but to turn to questionable activities to make the sale.

Wes over @ Walk In Brain has posted on a Bob McEwen ad he saw running on local TV. He’s a little sketchy on the details but what he remembers is pretty funny.

Look, the sound was low, and I’m not feeling that great, but he made some comment about “whether schools will be allowed to display the flag.” Obviously that wasn’t the only thing in the ad (there was a bunch of blather about protecting life and marriage too), but to create an issue like this out of whole cloth seems a bit…odd.

I can’t believe that there wasn’t one word about politicans not using our tax dollars as their personal checking accounts. Keep hiding behind the flag Bobbie Boy… you know us voters are all idiots with short attention spans.

I would love to see the whole add. Anyone got a copy? Tom? Pat? Anybody? Guys… let me do your dirtywork for you ;-) Why go through all the hastle of summoning Karl Rove. We’re right here and there’s no need to draw the pentagrams or cope with that rotten egg burning sulfer stench .

The GOP Coingate scandal is gaining momentum. Here’s how the scam works: Campaign financier steals money from Ohio’s Bureau of Workers Compensation and then gives part of the money back to Republican politicians who then give him more financing deals which allows him to steal more money from Ohio. (At least it has the advantage of not causing the deaths of over a thousand US soldiers so that you can help out your oil and weapons contractor friends. )

Since Republicans are looking for ethics training, I’ll tell you… there’s nothing like getting your ass thrown out of office to teach you about ethics. Just ask former Congressman Bob McEwen.

The bipartisan organization Reform Ohio Now is working to clean up the way elections are run in Ohio by getting three initiatives on the ballot have launched their website. This is not a Democrat vs. Republican thing. Many of the dirtiest tricks are played in the primaries, and that means every candidate that isn’t the insider’s chosen one needs to be fighting to Reform Ohio Now.

Remember all that stuff that people were screaming about with the votes for John Kerry and the election boards in 2004? That could just as easily be you getting the shiv Tom Brickman Jr.

BizzyBlog has been doing some digging in the microfilm section of the library and dug up a choice article from 1993 by Howard Wilkinson in The Cincinnati Enquirer entitled McEwen picks up message sent from voters: Get lost. Ouch!

I guess Republicans have a hard time getting rid of those bad pennies. Ha ha… bad pennies… get it?!!
